Reflecting on My Final Project

I enjoyed writing these poems so much. Most people did it because it’s considered a grade. But I felt different, the reason I enjoyed it is because I love to write poetry. I felt this was an easy grade because this is what I do. The other things in the class weren’t that interesting, but this one was because I got to write poems. Even though we only had to write 10 I wrote more just for my own good. Once I started I was just writing and it came out good. When I felt myself on the roll I just continued to write because I wanted to see what I can do. I read all the poems I wrote and just put my best ones up. I hope all of my readers enjoy my poems because they came from deep in my heart. I would love to have feed back from other people to see how they like it.

Reflection on Feedback

Now even though I don’t agree with one of my peers criticism I will just go along with it because my teacher told me to. I didn’t have too many problems with the poems that I had. As I look through my rough draft and search for correction from my peers I didn’t see too many correction needed. I only had typos and I put corrections between compound words. I will go beck through my rough draft on the computer and correct the little bit of errors that I had. I agree with the corrections that my peers gave me, but I don’t agree with the feedback. But I’m sure plenty of poets don’t agree with their feedback because they wrote in their own style and some people might not understand the style or the flow. While I was writing I realized every one doesn’t understand your style of writing. But after they misunderstand that’s when you just help them out and correct them.

Final Project Proposal

I chose this poetry project. The reason why I chose this is to show people that not only can I write good stories but I can write poem also. Every since I was young I loved to write poetry before anything. The reason I love it is because I can write rhymes. I feel if a person can write words that rhyme and the lines has a lot of meaning behind it then they are a good poet. I love to show my poetic skills to everyone and that’s why I chose to do this project. The other optional projects were not interesting because some of them we did in class already. Then others just didn’t catch my attention. If I had choices to read anything, I will always pick poetry to read. I get tired of writing stories, no matter how long it has to be. I also get tired of reading books. No matter how good the book or no matter how interesting someone tells me they are, I know in the beginning of the book I will lose interest and just stop reading. I never read a book from cover to cover. But if it were full of poems then I will. I can read poems all day. If you read my project, when I’m done, you will see that more things catch my attention than football. I worry about a lot of things, and I think and dream about a lot of things. In this I will write poems about the things I dream, think, and worry about the most. I will do my best on this specific project because I get to do what I love, next to football. I hope my readers enjoy reading my poems just as much as I enjoy writing it.

Fairy Tale: Reflecting on Feedback

When I first started writing this storyI knew I didn’t want to start it off with getting straight to the story. I knew by getting straight to the story then it would be a boring start. So I took the ending of the story and put it in the begininning. I did that for the interest of the reader. I knew that would put an instant image in their head. Honestly, I made up most of the story while I was typing it because I had limited time. I’m glad the story came out more intersting that i thought it would. I feel like this is the best story I wrote in a long time. I hope all of the readers love reading this story as much as I loved writing it.

Fairy Tale Proposal

My story will be about a football player that heavily on steroids. The steroids are satisfying mentally, but not physically. They are slowly breaking him down and destroying his body. I know what I want the story to be about, but I don’t know how I want it to end or how I want the monster to be destroyed. I was thinking about breaking him down in the middle of the game. Then again that seems too predictable. I want something like he died at old age or in the middle of his sleep within the football season. After that I thought about him getting killed by a football player who wanted revenge for injuring him. I might stick to the last story but for now I’m undecided. Before I do all of the ending, I have to find out how I want it to start.

My Goals for this Class

My goal for this class is not to just pass the class, but to become a better writer and speaker. I want to learn how to organize and project my writings that I do. Don’t get me wrong, I want to pass the class with an A also, but I want to learn more. I will take advantage of what my professor teaches me. I will use those techniques to the best of my ability. I want to have public and private talks with my teachers. That will help me learn more as an individual.
